Before talking about the most recent mass shooting in Maryland, Tim addresses the subpoena of Andrew Miller, who had been a guest on the podcast in early 2017. Tim explains his own limited relationship with Miller, and invites him on the show in the future.
Tim then delves into why Bitcoin is wildly different than gold. First and foremost – it isn’t money, nor has it ever been money. Bitcoin has been used in some trades, but money needs to be widely recognized as a medium of exchange. Due to Bitcoin’s volatility, it is not only not acceptable as money, but is also not a safe haven for those seeking refuge in the times of economic downturn.
Finally, the attention is turned to the latest shooting at a newspaper headquarters. The Capital Gazette was confirmed as the target of the shooter, and he apparently has a history with the paper going back years. While the event itself is tragic, it should not encourage Americans to pass gun laws, but rather to embrace self defense, concealed carry, and the second amendment.
