Pyongyang Begins Evacuation

Kim Jong-un, the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, has ordered 25% of the capital city’s residents to leave immediately. A Russian news outlet, The Pravada, reported that in accordance with the order, 600,000 people should be urgently evacuated. This evacuation is most likely due to the heightened tensions between the United States and the DPRK.

One of the reasons for the evacuation is that DPRK’s bomb shelters are not big enough to house the entire population of Pyongyang. Mostly citizens with criminal records are receiving the order to leave.
